Working Principles:

The Co-Kneader is a mild-shear rotating and reciprocating single-screw extruder designed specifically for shear and temperature-sensitive compounds. The flights on the screw are interrupted and interact with three rows of stationary kneading pins located in the barrel wall. The interaction between the moving flights and the stationary pins provides dispersive and distributive mixing simultaneously.

Axially opened split barrel ensures easy cleaning. The splined, segmented screw elements and pins can be easily changed according to different processing techniques. Additionally, some pins are hollow inside, allowing thermocouples to be inserted to accurately measure the material temperature inside the barrels, enabling liquid additive injection. Unlike other extruders, the kneading process occurs both radially and axially at the same time. Overall, the Co-Kneader offers outstanding kneading and mixing efficiency with a high degree of self-wiping. It is the most suitable equipment for compounding purposes.
